OKEA has been awarded six new production licences on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy under the Award in Pre-Defined Areas (APA) for 2020. The awarded licences include exploration and field development opportunities near the important Draugen and Gjøa production hubs as well as other new areas.

Norway: Equinor awards framework contracts for integrated wireline services

Archer Integrated Services have been awarded framework contracts for supplying
integrated wireline services within well intervention to Equinor’s fixed platforms. The estimated total value of the contracts is close to one billion NOK per year, and the contracts are awarded for a fixed period of around five years from May 2021.
The contracts include three two-year extension options. Optionality for wireline services to other areas, such as mobile units, are also included. The supplier companies have their main offices in Stavanger and Sandnes and the contracts are estimated to employ around 500 people.
UK: Orsted announces intention to bid in ScotWind leasing round

Ørsted has announced its participation in the forthcoming
ScotWind leasing round, Crown Estate Scotland’s first round of seabed leasing for offshore windfarms in Scotland for a decade.

As part of this process Ørsted has successfully secured a 1.8 GW grid connection in Scotland from National Grid ESO for use should it secure seabed rights following the ScotWind leasing round.
